Best sunscreens to buy now

I know that summer is almost over and I'm probably sooo late with this blogpost, but I really wanted to talk a little bit about sunscreens. Just recently I discovered that I am allergic to chemical SPF. Chemical sunscreens use a combination of two to six of these active ingredients: oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate, and octinoxate. They absorb rays in a chemical reaction that dissipates the heat back off the skin. My skin reacts very badly with these ingredients and I start to itch all over my body, which is not very fun. I did my research and found out that there are sunscreens with mineral SPF too. Mineral sunscreens use active mineral ingredients, such as zinc oxide and titanium oxide. They reflect the sun’s rays like a mirror to protect exposed skin. Generally speaking, naturally derived ingredients used in mineral sunscreens are gentler than chemicals. So now I have two products that I want introduce to you, one sunscreen is chemical (La Roche-Posay Anthelios), but somehow it works perfectly well on my skin, and the other one is mineral (Clinique Mineral Sunscreen Lotion).

| La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Fluid Ultra-Light |
It has a very high, broad, photostable UVA/UVB protection, light, non-greasy texture. It also is very water resistant, tested under dermatological control, fragrance-free, paraben-free, non-comedogenic. This sunscreen is certainly suitable for sensitive skin.

| Clinique Mineral Sunscreen Lotion For Body SPF 30 |
Since it is a mineral sunscreen, it gives a great protection against both UVA and UVB rays. It includes both titanium dioxide and zinc oxide that are two of the main ingredients you should be looking in a sunscreen. The texture of the liquid is runny creamy. It gets absorbed quickly without leaving any whitish cast behind. it does not feel oily or greasy on the skin. This is an oil free sunscreen so people with all skin types can use this.

Girls, what kind of sunscreen do you use? mineral or chemical? Let me know in comments!

Mallorca Haul

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you may probably already know, that I have been on holiday in Mallorca. I had a really great time and fell in love with this beautiful island.
Of course, when I come to other country, I try to look for beauty products, which we do not have in Lithuania. The one and only thing that I really wanted to find this time was Jo Malone cologne. I knew that there was Jo Malone shop in Palma (Mallorca's capital), but I didn't have enough time to search for it, because we lived in another city called Palmanova. So I was pretty sad about it, but I found a Jo Malone counter at the airport, when we were about to fly back home. Can you imagine how happy I was about it? I took a sniff of all the colognes and decided to buy BLUE AGAVA AND CACAO. Because summer is almost over, I though there is no point in buying light citrusy colognes and the one that I picked is perfect for fall. It has a floral scent, but it's pretty heavy, because it has cacao, cinnamon, vetiver and musk in it too. So I am very happy that I finally purchased a scent from Jo Malone, because every blogger is raving about them.

Another great purchase was this beautiful bracelet with pearls from Majorica. Actually my fiance bought it for me as a gift, that was very sweet of him.
Majorica is a well know brand in Mallorca. The Majorica pearl is made of an opaline crystal nucleus coated in multiple fine layers with the “pearl essence”, an extract obtained from the Majorica secret processing technique of natural organic elements of the Mediterranean Sea. Its complex formula reproduces the iridescence, beauty, resistance and perfection of the finest natural pearls. I fell in love with this bracelet as soon as I saw it. Isn't it beautiful?

The colours of these nail polishes are bright and fun. It lasts about four days without chipping and all the colours lift my mood when I see them on my nails. Tell me in comments, which nail polishes are you favourite this summer?

Review: Bioderma Hydrabio Perfecteur

Hi my beautiful friends! Today I decided to write a review about new product from Bioderma. It's a Bioderma Hydrabio Perfecteur SPF 30 moisturiser for sensitive and dehydrated skin. This product is out in a market for a couple of months now. I heard so many great reviews about it and decided to try it myself.

The first thing that I have to mention is that this moisturiser is suitable for dehydrated, sensitive dry, normal and combination skin. My skin is combination, so this cream works great on me. It gives me a nice, healthy glow, that I really like.

Benefits that Bioderma Hydrabio Perfecteur moisturiser gives to your skin:
  • - Conceals blemishes and micro-wrinkle
  • - Durably smoothes skin texture and immediately enlightens the complexion
  • - Prevents skin ageing & protects from UV rays
  • - Intensely and durably hydrates

Also, another important things is that the packaging is very hygienic and easy to use, because it has a pump. I also really like the fact that it is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, paraben-free. It also works well as a base for your make-up, but I like to wear it on it's own just because it gives a nice glow to my skin.

As always, if you want your skin to look good and in order to improve the effect of this moisturiser, it is recommended to use it with other products from Bioderma Hydrabio range, which you can find below.

Beauty box by Grožio draugas

At the beginning of last month I got this beautiful red package with a lot of goodies in it. Actually I was contacted and I was asked if I want to review this beauty box and of course I immediately said yes! Sadly, I have to warn you that this Beauty Box is only available for Lithuanian people, but the products that came in the box are mostly from well-known brands, so if you are an international reader you can still find some good information about the products that may be available in your country.

If you are from Lithuania I'll put the link where you can get your beauty box right here.

April's beauty box contained these beauty bits:

Full size
Batiste original dry shampoo
This is my all time favourite dry shampoo. I already wrote a blog post about dry shampoo's so if you want to read more click here. Although my favourite dry shampoo from batiste is the purple one (XXL volume), I still liked the original version of it. I use dry shampoo every other day, when I do not wash my hair, so it helps me to keep them clean looking.

Bio2you sensitive natural toothpaste with chamomile and seabuckthorn
This brand was new to me, apparently it's made in Riga, Latvia. The most amazing thing is that this toothpaste has no SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), no parabens, no EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid), no formaldehyde, no peroxide, no pthalates, no triclosan and no alcohol. It gently cleans and protects sensitive teeth enamel from damage. As it claims, natural active ingredients reduce sensitivity, soothe and protect gums, keep teeth naturally white, provide long-lasting antibacterial effect and improve breath freshness.

Lord and Berry SKIN lip gloss in a shade 4862
This product was my favourite. First of all, because I wanted to try Lord and Berry make up for the longest time and second of all I really like the colour of this lip gloss. I mean, you can never go wrong with the red shade for your lips. It's a little bit sticky and it doesn't have a nice scent, but I don't mind it at all. It has a Vitamin E, so it also moisturizes your lips.

Uoga Uoga loose eyeshadow in a shade "laukinės slyvos"
I was a little bit disappointed by this. First of all it's a very beautiful colour, but it is not wearable on a daily basis, since the colour is purple. The other negative thing is that it's very messy to use, because it's a loose eyeshadow. So I was not very impressed by this, but it is handmade product, so that's the plus.

Codage Paris Scrubbing Creme for all skin types
This product you can use as a scrub or a mask for your face. If you want to use it as a mask, just apply it on a clean face and leave it for 10-15 minutes and then wash your face. I used it only as a scrub and it gave me very beautiful results. My skin was soft and clean after using it.
Samples:
L'occitane ultra rich comforting cream
This creme is formulated with 25 % of shea butter, which nourishes and protects dry to very dry skin and even sensitive one. I have to say that I love love L'occitane products and this one was no exception.

Pil'aten black head pore strip
An amazing and also a very messy product. My skin felt amazing after using it, but it is a black liquid, so you should be very careful not to spill it everywhere. How to use it: wash your face with warm water, dry up, put a mask on your face and keep it for 25-30 minutes, then peel it off and wash your face again.

Marrakesh Kahm hair smoothing treatment with vegetable keratin protein, argan and hemp oil
This thing is amazing, it has no parabens, no THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), no Propylene Glycol, no Dyes, no Petroleum. Basically, it helps you to beat frizzy hair and controls humidity effect on your hair.

Also, I found a pack of natural sweets by VERI BERI in my beauty box, but I ate them all=((oppss....sorry girls, they were too good.

Anyway, I hope you liked this post! and also I would like to know if you tried any of these products? Let me know in the comments!

Lily Lolo mineral makeup

Somehow lately I really failed to find a perfect foundation or powder for my face. I already bought two different liquid foundations and I wasn't happy about how it looked on my face. Because I have a combination skin a lot of foundations and powders highlights dry patches on my face and of course it doesn't look good. So I was looking for a solution and now I am really happy, because I discovered mineral cosmetics. Mineral makeup always was like a mystery to me. I was always hesitant about buying it, especially mineral foundation, because I thought it will be messy and difficult to use. But I was so desperate and decided to try it. There a lots of different mineral makeup brands, but I chose the brand which is called Lily Lolo.

Lily Lolo is a British brand offering an expertly formulated range of high-performance, high quality mineral makeup must-haves to help you achieve flawless natural beauty. Their products are free of any parabens, synthetic perfumes or dyes. Lili Lolo was launched in 2005 by founder Vikki Khan and named after her two sisters Lisa (Lily) and Lorraine (Lolo).

Everything you see in these pictures I bought with my own money and I ordered everything from official Lili Lolo website, which you can visit here.

A really great thing that this brand suggests is that you can order samples of the products that you want to try, for example if you are not sure which mineral foundation colour will suit you best. They also have starter kits, which contains three different sample size mineral foundations, one finishing powder and baby buki brush. These starter kits can be in light, light medium and medium shades. Because I 'm really pale I chose the light one and I also ordered other shades of foundation, finishing powder and highlighter (shimmer), which was not in the kit.

So the colours that I have here is:

Foundations:
Blondie
Barely Buff
China Doll
Candy Cane
Warm Peach

Finishing Powders:
Translucent Silk
Flawless Silk

Highlighter (Shimmer):
Star Dust

So my favourite colours of the mineral foundation is Blondie, which I feel can suit every pale or light skin tone, and also Candy Cane. My favourite finishing powder is Translucent Silk, because Flawless Silk has a little bit of colour and it makes me a little bit too pink. I also really liked the shimmer, which you can use as a highlighter.
Now, I can really say that it is the best foundation that I ever used. It's light, build able, it doesn't clog my pores and does not highlight my dry patches. It also minimise breakouts and blemishes. It blends very easily with your natural skin tone and it doesn't look like you wearing a mask, which sometimes happens with liquid foundations. Overall, I think I fallen in love with this foundation and with this brand, but I also really want to try other brands too.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer review

Hello ladies! So, I recently bought my first highlighter from The Balm. It's a well known product and every blogger and youtuber is raving about it for a long time now and I feel like I am the only one who has not tested it yet. Also there are a lot of reviews about this product already, but I also wanted to share my opinion with you.

I have to say that I use highlighters mostly on spring and summer, when I have a little bit of fake or natural tan. I don't use it during colder months, because I am really pale and almost all highlighters that I love have that golden shimmer or sheen to it, which, in my opinion, looks great only on tanned skin. I could use fake tan during fall and winter, but I prefer not to do that, because I think it can be quite noticeable, also it can look weird and very unnatural.

Mary-Lou Manizer is a soft, warm, shimmering champagne shade with gold notes. I don't find it to be the subtlest of highlighters, because it's very pigmented, you need just a little bit and you're good. I would say that it is suitable for all skin types. It glides on so easily, not cakey and gives a lovely dewy finish, you will definitely look like a goddess after using it. This will be my go to highlighter during spring and summer. The Balm also have other two shades that I also have on my wish list and I really want to try them, it's Cindy-Lou Manizer (the colour is more peachy) and Betty-Lou Manizer (darkest one). I linked all of them below, so you can check them if you want. Also tell me in comments what's your favourite highlighter at the moment?
