Lily Lolo mineral makeup

Somehow lately I really failed to find a perfect foundation or powder for my face. I already bought two different liquid foundations and I wasn't happy about how it looked on my face. Because I have a combination skin a lot of foundations and powders highlights dry patches on my face and of course it doesn't look good. So I was looking for a solution and now I am really happy, because I discovered mineral cosmetics. Mineral makeup always was like a mystery to me. I was always hesitant about buying it, especially mineral foundation, because I thought it will be messy and difficult to use. But I was so desperate and decided to try it. There a lots of different mineral makeup brands, but I chose the brand which is called Lily Lolo.

Lily Lolo is a British brand offering an expertly formulated range of high-performance, high quality mineral makeup must-haves to help you achieve flawless natural beauty. Their products are free of any parabens, synthetic perfumes or dyes. Lili Lolo was launched in 2005 by founder Vikki Khan and named after her two sisters Lisa (Lily) and Lorraine (Lolo).

Everything you see in these pictures I bought with my own money and I ordered everything from official Lili Lolo website, which you can visit here.

A really great thing that this brand suggests is that you can order samples of the products that you want to try, for example if you are not sure which mineral foundation colour will suit you best. They also have starter kits, which contains three different sample size mineral foundations, one finishing powder and baby buki brush. These starter kits can be in light, light medium and medium shades. Because I 'm really pale I chose the light one and I also ordered other shades of foundation, finishing powder and highlighter (shimmer), which was not in the kit.

So the colours that I have here is:

Foundations:
Blondie
Barely Buff
China Doll
Candy Cane
Warm Peach

Finishing Powders:
Translucent Silk
Flawless Silk

Highlighter (Shimmer):
Star Dust

So my favourite colours of the mineral foundation is Blondie, which I feel can suit every pale or light skin tone, and also Candy Cane. My favourite finishing powder is Translucent Silk, because Flawless Silk has a little bit of colour and it makes me a little bit too pink. I also really liked the shimmer, which you can use as a highlighter.
Now, I can really say that it is the best foundation that I ever used. It's light, build able, it doesn't clog my pores and does not highlight my dry patches. It also minimise breakouts and blemishes. It blends very easily with your natural skin tone and it doesn't look like you wearing a mask, which sometimes happens with liquid foundations. Overall, I think I fallen in love with this foundation and with this brand, but I also really want to try other brands too.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer review

Hello ladies! So, I recently bought my first highlighter from The Balm. It's a well known product and every blogger and youtuber is raving about it for a long time now and I feel like I am the only one who has not tested it yet. Also there are a lot of reviews about this product already, but I also wanted to share my opinion with you.

I have to say that I use highlighters mostly on spring and summer, when I have a little bit of fake or natural tan. I don't use it during colder months, because I am really pale and almost all highlighters that I love have that golden shimmer or sheen to it, which, in my opinion, looks great only on tanned skin. I could use fake tan during fall and winter, but I prefer not to do that, because I think it can be quite noticeable, also it can look weird and very unnatural.

Mary-Lou Manizer is a soft, warm, shimmering champagne shade with gold notes. I don't find it to be the subtlest of highlighters, because it's very pigmented, you need just a little bit and you're good. I would say that it is suitable for all skin types. It glides on so easily, not cakey and gives a lovely dewy finish, you will definitely look like a goddess after using it. This will be my go to highlighter during spring and summer. The Balm also have other two shades that I also have on my wish list and I really want to try them, it's Cindy-Lou Manizer (the colour is more peachy) and Betty-Lou Manizer (darkest one). I linked all of them below, so you can check them if you want. Also tell me in comments what's your favourite highlighter at the moment?

Perfume wishlist for spring/summer

Hey ladies! I decided to share my ultimate perfume wish list for spring and summer. I know, that looks a lot, but recently I am all about finding new scents and perfumes. It's spring so you need to get some new perfumes, that smells light, clean and crispy, like a summer air.  I also don't have my signature scent, I like to try different ones all the time, that's why my wish list grows very fast. Also, youtube and other beauty bloggers do a lot of impact on me. I see people raving about perfumes that I never heard about (for example: Replica by Maison Martin Margiela and AERIN) or maybe never smelled before and because of this impact I would really like to try them all and have them in my collection. It is a little bit surreal, cause I will definitely not buy that many perfumes for myself, cause when I will use them all up?! But maybe you are looking for a good perfume too? so I hope this list will give you some inspiration and will help you to find your perfect scent for warm/hot seasons.

February Favourites

As you can guess by the title this blog post will be about beauty products that I loved this month. And these pruducts are:

| Jimmy Choo Eau De Parfum  |
I already wrote a blog post about this lovely perfume by Jimmy Choo, so if you want to read more about it, press here.

| The Body Shop fresh nude foundation in 012 Bora Bora |
This foundation is enriched with English rose water and aloe vera, so this formula leaves my skin feeling beautifully fresh and comfortable all day, also the finish is semi-matte, so I think this foundation would be great for girls, who have a combination skin. It also contains SPF 15.

|  Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara |
The best mascara I ever used! I do understand now, why all beauty gurus rave about this product. It gives an amazing volume to my lashes.

Lipcote lipstick sealer |
Lipcote is the Original Lipstick Sealer and secret of smudge, feather, fade and kiss proof lipstick that lasts. Recommended by top make up artists and celebrities, award-winning Lipcote is a true beauty staple, specially created for ladies who simply love lipstick. Lipcote's unique formula includes all vegetarian natural extracts. If you think you might be sensitive, test a little Lipcote on the back of your hand before using. Do not use on dry or cracked lips, or if usual momentary tingling persists.

USE:
  • Apply lipstick and blot with a tissue. Repeat.
  • Evenly brush quick drying Lipcote over and slightly beyond lipstick.
  • Keep lips apart while Lipcote sets.

It's a very moisturizing and buttery lip balm, that contains shea butter. It also has SPF 15 and is paraben free. This one is actually from limited edition collection, it has a pearly finish, unfortunately you can't buy this anymore, but they have other amazing shades and they all have a fruity scent!

| Ciate London Paint Pot in heirloom |
The colour of this nail polish is very interesting and beautiful. It is a multichrome polish that has a lot of different undertones: green, pink, orange, red and copper. I only need two coats of this nail polish. I have a full sized bottled, but you can also get the mini one in this colour.

| Philip Martin's Infusion Cream |
This infusion cream is a natural product, that works as an antistatic treatment for hair. It adds shine and makes styling easier. It protects hair from heat damages and leaves it soft, full bodied without weighing it down.

REVIEW: ELIZABETH ARDEN EIGHT HOUR CREAM ORIGINAL SET

Hello ladies,

Today I decided to write a review about this Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream set, which contains The original Eight Hour Skin Protectant, Eight Hour Intensive Daily Moisturizer for face and Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick. Read further if you want to know my opinion about each product that I mentioned.

PRODUCTS I MENTIONED AND ALSO PRODUCTS THAT I SUGGEST TO TRY:

| The Original Eight Hour Skin Protectant |
I think it's the most popular Elizabeth Arden's beauty product. Every blogger and youtuber talk about this and I also read that make up artists use this product on models, to give their lips that juicy look. You can use it for almost everything: to set brows, re-hydrate chapped lips, and soften rough elbows and calluses. Although it's an award-winning product, I can't really understand the hype about it. I mostly used it on my lips, because it's winter time and my lips are very dry during this season, so I thought this product might help, but actually it didn't. I almost felt that it makes my lips even more dry, because every time I apply it, the skin on my lips begins to peel off. So that's not fun. But I also definitely recommend to check this product out, because a lot of people are raving about it and if it doesn't work on my lips, maybe it will work wonders on yours.

Eight Hour Intensive Daily Moisturizer for face |
This is my favourite item from this set! It moisturises my skin very well. It smells very good and not too overpowering. It smells like a natural product to me. I mainly use this in the evening, before bedtime, cause it can be a little too heavy for daytime. Oh, and I also used it when I was on holidays, in the mountains, and it protected my face from cold very well.

| Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick |
This lipstick is enriched with emollients, protective sunscreen (It has SPF 15!) and vitamin E. But it also doesn't work well on my dry lips. I don't know why, maybe it has something that my lips just don't like, but I can't figure out what ingredient could it be. But it's the same product as The original Eight Hour Skin Protectant, only in a lipstick form. So, I definitely don't want to say that it's a bad product, because other people like it a lot. So I think this product is simply not suitable for me.

Thank you for reading girls! I hope you liked this blog post! Have a nice weekend.

In love: Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo

Happy Friday, ladies!!! Today's blog post is about my recent sneaky purchase. It's Jimmy Choo perfume.

Since 1996, Jimmy Choo has become an iconic luxury lifestyle brand defined by an empowered sense of glamour. A pioneer in the art of celebrity dressing, Jimmy Choo shoes and accessories have become a staple on Hollywood’s most recognized red carpets. Jimmy Choo Fragrances capture the sensuality, luxury, and style of the iconic shoes and handbags in a new must-have accessory that can be worn for any occasion.

ABOUT THE PERFUME:
An expression of the modern woman’s aura, this scent at once conveys strength and beauty, glamour and confidence. Luminous green top notes join a heart of rich and exotic tiger orchid and lingering base notes of sweet toffee and Indonesian patchouli to leave a sensual memory on the skin. For the bottle, the opulence of jewel-colored Venetian Murano glass inspired its faceted design.

I love the scent of it. It's a very sweet, fruity and spicy scent, but it is also very warming, so I think it's perfect for fall and winter. Since winter is not over yet here in Lithuania, I still can wear it everyday. I also read that a lot of girls think that this perfume is very masculine, but I actually don't think so. For me, this scent is very sexy, feminine and seductive. I also like the snake pattern on the packaging and the staying power is also amazing. It stays all day and I can feel that scent even the other day on my clothes that I was wearing.

Notes:
Green, Tiger Orchid, Toffee, Sensual Indonesian Patchouli

Style:
Feminine, Luxurious, Stylish

Review: Estee Lauder Double Wear Light

In today's post I decided to review foundation from Estee Lauder. It's called Estee Lauder Double Wear Light. It is a lighter version of a well-known Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. I haven't tried that one, because a girl in the make-up store told me that it's very heavy and more suitable for evening, so I decided to buy a lighter version and hoped that it will look natural on my skin, because that is what it promises on the packaging. But I was wrong. I have a combination skin and on me it looked cakey and felt very heavy. This foundation highlighted dry patches on my skin and gave me that "too much makeup" look. Even my co-worker asked me why am I wearing so much makeup and I even did not use a setting powder. So yeah, I think that would only work for people who have a very oily skin, because it does make your skin very matte. It is a very disappointing product, because of that I don't even want to try the original version of this foundation. Anyway, but if you have a very oily skin, definitely try it, cause it does really help with oiliness and it stays all day on your face. Also it's a plus that it has SPF 10. I hope this helped you! Thank you for reading!
