Review: Princess mascaras by Essence

I’m here again with a new review! As I mentioned in my other blog post (here), Essence sent me a package full with their products (I shared a picture on my instagram, which you can find here), they wanted me to try their products and I’m really happy that they let me to write my honest opinion. That’s a big plus and I fell big respect for a makeup brand, which really wants to know people's opinion, to grow and improve their brand.

I also want to inform you, that there will be many more reviews which will include Essence makeup products. So if you are interested in that, keep on waiting for that good stuff that’s coming=)).

Anyway, let’s get down to the business.

Today I’m reviewing two Essence mascaras – Essence lash princess volume mascara and Essence lash princess false lash effect mascara. Below you can find all detailed information about these mascaras and also my opinion about them.

What it says in the description: royal! The lash princess mascara with a specially shaped cobra-head wand covers each individual lash to create dramatic volume and a gorgeous, sweeping look. For intensive fluttering lashes. Just as unique as any princess, the mascara is presented in a beautiful evening gown.

My opinion: This mascara is my favorite! I really love this unusual cobra model brush. Somehow it gives and amazing effect on my lashes. They look much longer, like I’m wearing false lashes, also it gives more body to them, they become more fuller, so my eyes really stand out. The curl also stays all day for me. The mascara is buildable, but you have to be careful, cause the more you swipe it along your lashes the more it tends to become clumpy and sticky. In general I think its amazing and budget friendly mascara. It just shows that you don’t need to buy those expensive ones if you want your lashes to look nice.

What it says in the description: royal sister! There’s a fabulous addition to the family of lash princess mascaras in black. The special, conic shape of the fiber brush provides lashes with length and dramatic volume as well as a false-lash effect. And just like her sister, the packaging of the drama queen is decorated with a gorgeous evening dress – this time in black-mint. Princess (ence) deluxe!

My opinion: This mascara is also great, but I prefer the other one. It also gives your lashes that false lash effect, but it only gives the length for my lashes. I love when mascara also gives some volume and thickness. Without paying attention to this it is still quite impressive for a budget friendly mascara.

Nudes and Pastels by Essence

How are you doing? It seems that I wrote my last blog post ages ago, but time is passing really fast and I feel that it’s not enough hours in a day to do everything I need. So my blog was a little bit abandoned. But finally here is my new blog post!

Recently I got a package from Essence. It contained amazing stuff, so I tried a lot of new things from this brand. It’s a well-known brand from Germany. I think it’s popular everywhere in Europe now. Anyway, I liked almost everything, there was only a couple of products that didn’t worked for me, but today’s post includes probably my favorite ones, cause I love pastel and nude colours very much and also these products that I will mention here is great. They also are super affordable, if you are new in this makeup word, this brand suggest a lot of great products that are perfect to build your starter makeup collection.

| Essence XXXL nude lip-gloss in 01 Shy Beauty and 03 Taste the Sweets |

These lip-glosses are from the #ilovenude trend edition. I’m happy about these glosses, they are not sticky, and the pigmentation for natural looking lip-glosses is great. I love the applicator of it, it’s very soft, comfortable and easy to use. 01 She Beauty is a little bit to light for me, I have a pale skin and with this lip-gloss I look even paler, but it still doesn’t look very bad. Both of these shades are perfect for spring and summer, when you want fresh, natural look.

Again, these lipsticks are also from #ilovenude trend edition. I love both shades. 01 Wearing only a smile is also a little bit light, but it looks ok on me. My favorite one is 03 Come Naturally - this is a true cool-toned mauve shade.  This shade is a very trendy ‘Kylie Jenner’ shade. The lipsticks are super creamy, moisturising and they are very comfortable to wear.  Pigmentation and longevity is great, they last for about 3 hours on the lips before I have to reapply, but it doesn’t bother me, cause they are very easy to use.

These are the baked eye shadows in the #ilovenude trend edition. These single eye shadows are great for everyday natural makeup look. I use 01 Vanilla Sugar as a highlighter in my inner corners and under my brow bone. I love to use both of these colours together, it’s a perfect combination for everyday look. I have no complaints about the pigmentation. The quality for the price is very nice. Also they blend vey easily and doesn’t crease on my eyelids. And it is perfect, because my eyelids tend to become oilier during the day.

As I said I love nude colours very much, so when I saw these nail polishes I was super excited and painted my nails immediately. They glide on nails really nicely, there was no streakiness going on when I was applying it. You need two coats and you good to go, although 05 pure soul requires three coats and it doesn’t cover your nail completely, I mean it’s see-through and with white nail polishes, I like them to be opaque. So that was the only downside, but my absolute favorite one is 07 hope for love shade.

I also wanted to include two other nail polishes, which are from #ilovepastels collection. I really love the colours and it looks like a simple nail polish, but on the nails it becomes matte. These colours are perfect for spring and summer. I need to apply two coats and it stays on my nails for about a week, but at the end of the week it starts to chip. In my opinion the longevity of these polishes is really great and I love that it is matte.

Review: Skincare Products by Garnier

Since I was a teenager I loved Garnier skincare products very much. Don’t get me wrong, I still love this brand, but I’m becoming a grown up women, my skin is changing, now it needs more care than ever. You know, with age your skin is also ageing up. So, for this reason now I tend to buy products from other brands, but when I spot new products from Garnier, I like to try them. Some time ago I spotted this new Garnier Miracle Skin Cream for your face and eyes. I couldn’t resist and decided to buy this set when I was Berlin. I was using everything for some time now, so I can tell my genuine opinion about these products.

I also think that skincare is the most important thing, it’s more important than makeup. If you have beautiful skin and take care of her every day, then you don’t need to wear that much makeup.

Anyway, let’s get to business, here is my little review! Hope you’ll like it! Tell me if you have tried these products which I mentioned here!?=)

| Garnier Miracle Skin cream |

It’s an anti-aging face cream with self-adjusting formula.  It definitely has a perfecting effect on the skin. The product comes out like a white moisturizer that transforms into a skin-color once you start to blend it. It has a little bit of coverage, but it’s enough for me. I do have a little bit of redness on my cheeks and this cream covers it very well. It’s perfect for those days then you don’t want to wear a lot of makeup, but still want your skin to look nice. It's also very moisturizing and my skin feels moisturized all day when I wear this.  The only thing that I don't like about this product is the smell. It has a very strong, heavy scent. I also don’t know if it helps with wrinkles, but my skin definitely looks younger and healthier.

This is also the anti-ageing eye cream that transforms, awakens and illuminates the look of skin around the eyes. This eye cream works very well as a concealer. It helps me with those blue circles under my eyes and makes me look more awake. The cream smooths on really easily, doesn't feel greasy and absorbs well. It’s not my favorite eye cream, I like using those simple ones, without the color, cause when I do my makeup I like to use other products to conceal my under eye area. But this product is budget friendly and you can get two products in one tube – an eye cream and a concealer. So it’s definitely worth buying.

| Youthful Radiance Caffeine Eye Roll-on |

It’s a perfect solution against tired looking eyes. It has a refreshing effect and visibly reduces the appearance of bags beneath the eyes. It’s a clear gel like liquid. I like the cooling effect of the metallic roller ball, which feels really nice when I use this in the morning. It doesn’t help me to fight with the under eye circles, but it definitely help me with the puffiness. Overall, I like this product a lot and it's not the first time I'm using it, that's why I included it in this mini review.=)

Hair care: Herbal Essences

Hope you had an amazing Easter holiday! I had a little bit time to relax and pamper myself. Also I have started to use Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners. We don’t have this brand in Lithuania, so I found and bought some when I was living in Berlin. I started to use them just recently and I can see that my hair really loves it. I use them as a combination. If I wash my hair with hello hydration shampoo, then I also use the conditioner from the same line. And I also like to switch them every time I wash my hair, for example: if today I used hello hydration, then other time when I’ll wash my hair I’ll use naked shine line. I’ll try my best to discuss each line, but I have to say that they both are amazing.

The description says that this shampoo and conditioner formula is fused with extracts of creamy coconut and orchid flower and it leaves your hair soft, smooth, moisturised and weightless. It’s a saviour for my dry and damaged hair. Of course, I am most guilty, because I blow dry and straighten my hair every other day when I wash my hair. This line also smells amazing. As you probably already know I’m in love with vanilla scent, but I also love everything what smells like coconut! This combination also takes care of the frizz very well and it’s a good substitute for some of the more expensive shampoos and conditioners that gives the same result.

The products from this line are without silicones, parabens and dyes (actually all lines are without this bad stuff). It cleans your hair and adds a little bit of healthy shine. These products formula is fused with white tea and mint extracts. It has a nice, fresh and not overpowering smell. I was looking for a great clarifying shampoo for a long time and I finally found one. It removes build up very well, but I would not recommend using clarifying shampoo every day, because that could be very drying and strip necessary lipids out of your hair.

If I would have to choose between these two lines, I will probably choose Hello Hydration line, but as I said before, all products that I mentioned here is great.

My personal PLANNER

Hello again! It seems that recently I have a lot to talk about and to share with you girls. Today’s post is not about beauty stuff, it’s related with planning your everyday life.

Do you like to plan things? I love to plan, take notes and for that case, I always want to find amazing planners, cause those simple ones are boooring, aren’t they? Anyway, some time ago, I mean about half a year ago (time is running out so fast!), I participated in the giveaway on PinkChickClaire blog.
